In honor of our one-year anniversary, we're celebrating age and the wisdom that comes with it. We'll be discussing the wisdom passed down from generations of women, finding our true selves at any age, vibrancy past the age of seventy, and the humor in growing older.

Come join us in celebrating the power of female voices!

We couldn't do a show on AGE without including Leah Baer. To call her fabulous would be an understatement. She’s 73, a mother, a wife, proud grandmother, and a lover of life. An activist since the 60s, she spent her early and middle years raising her children, doing social work, and empowering women and children who had been abused, helping them find safety and justice.

Leah retired in 2015 and is making time to do what she's always dreamed of doing: writing. She is studying screenwriting with Andy Mingo, and memoir with Lidia Yuknavitch and Ariel Gore. She is also the co-founder of a project called Jouissance Sans Cesse, an anthology about women over 50 & their sensuality & potency & strength.

She's captivated audiences in ROAR, Unchaste Readers, Burnt Tongue, Booklover's Burlesque, Songbook, Grief Rites, as well as appeared in the ROAR and What I Couldn't Say Then documentaries.

She recently started taking burlesque lessons, because she's Leah. You do not want to miss this amazing woman and the magic she weaves with words.

Dianne is a Northeast Woodlands woman of the Mohawk nation. Her native name is Kaanaaenk, which means "Keeper of the Peace". She speaks at various venues on the topic of Unity. She is an educator, professional dancer, and a force. We are honored to have her join us.

The topic of AGE can be scary, especially for women. We wanted to lighten up the show by having Amanda join us. Amanda Arnold is funny. Not just a little funny. Not giggle funny. She's blow-stuff-out-of-your-nose funny. She was voted top-five funny by Willamette Weekly, and just wrapped up co-producing the Undertow Comedy Festival .

She's performed at 7 Deadly Sins and comedy venues all over town. Underneath the laughs, she's tender brilliance. You don't want to miss her.
